Tips on Looking up words in theWord Dictionaries

Tip on using the Interlinear-WordStudy Companion tool with theWord

Right click a strongs number in the Interlinear tool and go to Copy.

Now you can paste that number in a dictionary input box.

Unfortunately this process is not automated perhaps in the future.

To automate it somewhat use: Auto HotKey http://www.autohotkey.com/

Create a script similiar to this one: Not the first Click line is very important. This is the location of the screen coordinates of the Dictionary Input box in theWord. Once this script is activated with the correct screen coordinates and you copy for example a strongs number then press alt+s it should put this information into your dictionary input box and return your mouse to its previous location.

    - Check out under options in the main view for some default dictionary settings
    - check out Bible settings to now set a dictionary per row, you can leave it default to use default dictionary
        - this is useful for having different dictionaries for strongs, morphology, lemma, etc.

Jesus (God the Son) and God (God the Father) are the same. They are 2 persons of the Trinity the Holy Spirit is the third (God the Holy Spirit).

A tip to turn off a Row of an Interlinear

For example:
In iNa27+ there is a Spanish Row but for some who may just want to use the Greek, Strongs, and Morphology. (Also note this is for those who don't want to see Spanish that is translated with a Jehovah Witness view)

Do this:
1. Click on iNA27+ then on the same line you should see and S all the way to the left. This is for settings of the Bible.
2. Click on the S
3.  In the Rule Settings area Make sure Row 4 is selected (This corresponds to the Spanish Row) (Hopefully in the future it will say Español here)
4. Uncheck Visible
5. Click Apply to Row
6. Close the Settings/Information window
7. Click another Bible and then back to iNA27+ so that it will reload
You have now made the Spanish Row invisible.

So why make Interlinear Bible & Word Study that can be used in companion with theWord?

1. For those who like to look at Interlinears in book format for their studies.
 (By the way theWord does this in a good way this is just another option)

2. When a search is performed on a rule the other words are grouped for example:
 On the TRi Interlinear search for the word "World" in rule 2 it shows 79 times in total: (without using Like and %%)

• Κοινε Greek
• 24 times as κόσμου
• 24 times as κόσμος
• 18 times as  κόσμον
• 10 times as κόσμῳ
• 1 time as κοσμοκράτορας
• 1 time as ἴδιον
• 1 time as κόσμῳ, (note at present there is not an option to ignore punctuation)
• English
• 79 times as World (This is the same as the total because it is the rule that was searched)
• Strongs
• 77 times as G2889
• 1 time as G2888
• 1 time as G2398
• Morphology
• 24 times as N-GSM (this cordinates with the Greek in this situation)
• 24 times as N-NSM
• 18 times as N-ASM
• 11 times as N-DSM
• 1 time as N-APM
• 1 time as A-ASN
• Lemma
• 77 times as κόσμος
• 1 time as κοσμοκράτωρ
• 1 time as ἴδιος

Note all these groupings can be right clicked and loaded in the Word Study view
For example to see the 1 time used as G2398 right click it, and it will load the part of the verse that has that Word so you can now see the surrounding context (words). It also highlights the word and the rules above and below it. If you want to dig deeper right click that verse and you can load it in the Interlinear to see the surround verses.

Another thing to try is search for the word "κόσμος" in rule 1: 32 Times total

• Κοινε Greek
• 32 times as κόσμος   (this is the word searched for)
• English
• 24 times as World
• 3 times as World,
• 2 times as World.
• 1 times as Adoring; (this is interesting the surround contexts point to this referring to a garment)
• 1 times as World;
• 1 times as            (note in certain interlinears like this some words are grouped up so you will find some empty rules) 
• Strongs
• 32 times as G2889
• Morphology
• 32 times as N-NSM (this teaches us some Greek that κόσμος is at least in this interlinear always a Noun - Nominative, Singular, and Masculine)
• Lemma
• 32 times as κόσμος (this is the word you will find in Greek Lexicons, which happens to be the same as our search)

3. You can study with multiple verses not limited to chapters
4. These are some ideas explore it please and let me know what else you come up with.

At present there is only the KJV with strongs released. Is anyone interested in letting me know what theWord Bibles are in the public domain?

Interlinear Bible - Word Studies in early Alpha stages. Please use the link to the right. Unzip the folder into theWord directory use InterlinearProject.exe to run the program.

Reference edit

Reference over lets you decide how many verses you want to display in the Interlinear view.

Like is similar to putting a * after your reference in a search. John 1 + Like will show
John 1, John 11, etc. use this option carefully

 View of the Interlinear

-S Shows the settings for the Bible as well as its information.
-The tabs are the Bibles available
-Please note each Bible can have its own settings. (Discussed in more details latter)
-The verse reference for a particular Bible is shown in a hint popup after the verse.  (The idea behind this is to help us not be so tied to verses)
-You can right click a word and then search for it in the Word Study view.

-Search for a particular word in the edit box

-The number is the rule number that is being searched.

-On check is a check to let you change the rule number

-Like check is for those who want to use wild cards in there search. Presently heaven% will give you heaven, heavens, etc. or %eaven% will give you heaven, heavens, leaven, etc.

-Total count how many times the specific word is found in the rule searched. 

-ms In milliseconds how long the search took

-Highlight Color  we will address in View B
-Right click you can load the Reference into the Interlinear view

-Remember to make the graph height enough to see the word groups

-Each word group is right click-able which can be shown in Word Study B View

-Right click also allows you to see the header of the word groups
